Maths-Fractions

Last term, we’ve been learning about fractions. In fractions, the top number of a fraction is called a numerator and the bottom number of a fraction is called a denominator. If we had a question such as this 1/4 of 44, we would first start with dividing 44 by 4, because the denominator is 4. With the answer 11, you would multiply the answer by the numerator ,which would make the answer 11. Here is another example 2/5 of 20. First, you would start by dividing 20 by 5, then multiply the answer by the numerator ,which would make the answer 8.
